PK 4.3 - Weekly Newsletter
Dear families,
First of all, I'd like to thank you all for joining me during Parent-Teacher Conferences! Team work is the dream work and I feel that we've created great partnership with open communication and your help throughout the year. I'm incredibly grateful that I can count with all your support and of course, your children are the reflection of that compromise and love :)
Even though this week was a short one- we made the best out of it by focusing on "who lives in trees?" and the fact that besides giving us air and paper, trees also help by being the habitat of lots of animals. During Small Groups, we had the chance to practice discriminating rhyming words with riddles and reciting "Mary had a little lamb"- an old nursery rhyme that we enjoyed mostly during our Clothes Study- also helped us reinforce and work on math concepts. Snap blocks and stickers were some of the materials we used to keep practicing identification of letters and producing their sounds; retelling "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and reviewing vocabulary words also enhance our literacy skills and of course, we had a little fun creating owl masks to role play during Choice Time in the Dramatic Play Area.
Next week, we'll keep going further in the subject since it was very much enjoyed by everyone.
Also, we would like to thank you for taking the time to send in some leaves, seeds and branches for us to use in class. You may continue to do so for the rest of the unit if you find anything interesting your child would like to share.
Objectives of the Week:
