The deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation.
About
Genocide has been occurring for centuries. People have always found a reason to kill a certain group of people. They often blame problems that are happening on a certain group, creating a scapegoat out of that group of people. Genocide is an atrocity that must be stopped. The United States and the U.N. need to do more to step in and punish those responsible for Genocide of innocent people.
Rwanda
In 1994, 500,000-1,000,000 people in Rwanda were murdered by the Rwandan Army, police, national militia, and Hutu civilians.
Nazis
Under the guidance of Hitler, the Nazi party systematically killed 9-12 million people throughout Europe for various reasons. Jews were targeted especially.
Falun Gong
Recent reports have been coming out about live organ harvesting in China. Somewhere around 70,000 people have died from this practice. It is still on going.
