Parent Info: Texas Education Agency release of STAAR scores
3rd-8th grade STAAR scores not released until August 2024.
Dear Parents,
This year the State redesigned the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) tests, and introduced new types of non-multiple choice questions and writing tasks for all grade levels. Because of these changes, the Texas Education Agency will take longer to score and evaluate tests. Districts are expected to receive a report during our last week of school that will indicate whether a student likely passed, likely did not pass, or whether the State is uncertain of their status. Final STAAR 3-8 scores will not be released until mid-August.
High School STAAR End-Of-Course scores will be released to districts on May 31st. At this time, we will know exactly which students did or did not pass their tests. Students will be invited to participate in summer school EOC bootcamp and retest in June if they did not pass their test or were absent. See below for summer school dates and location information.
TEA’s official reporting timeline can be found here. Parents will have access to final assessment results and reports in the family portal in mid-August.
