STLMSUA FALL/WINTER NEWS

2015

Change is in the Air

Many of us have seen changes, lots of changes, over the years. Being an umpire is not a static craft. Things change. The players get faster, the equipment gets better, rules are adjusted to keep the game fair, and mechanics are modified to keep up with the competition on the field. Be flexible. Be willing. Try something new to you.

The Digital Age has Arrived....

Most, if not all, of our documents and communication is offered in a digital format. Only. This not only saves on paper consumption, but streamlines gathering information, saving time and effort. It's SUPER IMPORTANT for you to read the newsletter and take advantage of any links or helpful information regarding communications...

...and we are working on electronic payments. No more or fewer checks. Woo Hoo!

Want to Work a National Championship?

Make sure you meet all deadlines when requesting to work a Championship. Your request form must be submitted to YOUR DISTRICT UIC by the end of Jan. in order to be considered. You can access the form by using the following link.

MANDATORY BACKGROUND CHECKS

This year, YOU will be responsible for obtaining your background check. THIS APPLIES TO ALL WHO REQUIRE ONE ( anyone working JO, anyone working a National Championship for any age and any umpires registering with STLMSUA for the first time )

Background check orders will be done in RegisterASA. This means it will be necessary for you to log in as soon as your registration has been updated to order the background check. You will also PAY FOR IT WITHIN RegisterASA. Doing so, eliminates the need for the association to collect signed consent forms, payments and the administration of ordering the checks.
