Stella & Dot Weekly Update - Week of March 9
Happy March!
Sorry for the delay in our weekly newsletter! Traveling and sickness have me a little behind but I am back on track just as I am headed out of town for spring break.
I had a wonderful trip to Galveston and Tysh Mefferd's Gemstone Director Retreat. It was a fun-filled and inspirational three days with leaders from the US and the UK. Stella & Dot Chairman Mike Lohner joined us (see below) and as he always does, had amazing insight and ideas for our business. I have so much I can't wait to share!
Mark your calendars for a team call on Monday, March 23rd, 8:30 p.m.

Thought for the Week : Eat That Frog
We talked a lot about structure and organization at the Director Retreat. Mike shared with us that one of the main challenges facing entrepreneurs is structure. Many of us come from a work background where our days and priorities are decided for us, i.e. the company structures our life and tasks. As entrepreneurs whether full or part time, we are in charge of what to do with our day or with the timeframe we have set aside for our Stella & Dot business. Therein lies the struggle. We spend so much time trying to decide what to do and where to start, that we stay in the same place. But as Tysh said "Structure brings you freedom." When you structure your time your productivity and accomplishments will soar.
One of my fellow directors suggested the book "Eat that Frog," by Brian Tracy. It is a quick read (or listen since I downloaded for my drive home) and has great tips and practical advice on how to structure your days/life by doing the big things--or frogs--first. Not only is this applicable to our Stella & Dot business, it is also pertinent for our everyday life. Do yourself a favor and pick up or download this book--it is amazing.
Enjoy your week and if you are traveling for spring break, safe travels! I am a phone call or email away if you need anything at all.
xo,
Laura
