The Smith Scholarship
The Smith Scholarship Program is designed to reward those students who have succeeded despite personal and economic challenges. The scholarship is not singularly focused on test scores or grades. Instead, the Foundation is seeking students who have demonstrated a desire to give back to others through volunteer work or assistance to family while maintaining active involvement in their school and community.
Students are encouraged to apply by using the link on this website to an online application. Applications are open to Alabama High School Seniors who have obtained a 2.5 GPA or greater. Applicants must take the ACT or SAT but no minimum score is required. Financial assistance of up to $15,000 for 4 years, study abroad, professional training through the Internship Program as well as Mentor assistance for academic, professional and personal obstacles are offered but conditioned upon strict adherence to Foundation Guidelines.
