Parent Help Needed!
We have started seeing these challenges start at Krimmel and we want to do everything we can to prevent it from getting out of hand. We also want you to be able to talk to your child(ren) to help them understand the severity of their actions.
The two newest challenges are called "Devious Lick" and "The Bathroom Challenge."
- Devious Lick challenges students to steal something from the school or a teacher's classroom, and then post it on their TikTok page or another social media platform. Theft of school property could include but is not limited to out-of-school suspension, placement at the disciplinary alternative education program, and/or police involvement.
- The Bathroom Challenge encourages students to destroy school bathrooms by breaking sinks, toilet seats, bathroom stall doors, and/or rip soap dispensers off the wall, as well as pour liquids on bathroom surfaces.
We've included a story from Pennsylvania that includes information about these challenges as they are spreading nationwide. We also made announcements to the students today, but we would love your assistance to make sure our students know how important it is not to mess up or steal school property.
ID Cards and Lanyards
We have been reminding students that their ID cards and lanyard must be worn around their necks at all times during the school day. They need these items to be able to buy food in the cafeteria and board their bus in the AM and PM.
Students have been provided with an ID card, lanyard, and plastic cardholder. After 9/15/21, if additional IDs, lanyards, and plastic holders are needed because they have been lost by the student, there will be charges to replace these items. Students should complete the google form in the All Krimmel Schoology course if they need their ID reprinted.
All replacement fees can be paid online using School Cash Online.
Lanyard $2.00
Plastic ID Holder $1.00
ID Card:
Printed paper copy is no charge for now.
Plastic SMART cards will be a $5.00 replacement fee. (We are still waiting to receive these from the district)
Reporting of COVID Issues to Campus Staff
Tutoring Opportunities for Students
If students want to attend tutoring before school, they need to have a pass from their teacher OR a written note from their parent. They will show this to our staff monitoring the doors when they enter the building.
Students can enter the building at 8:10 am if they are reporting for morning tutoring AND have a pass.
