I'm Not Lucky, I'm Blessed #Yes
It is easy to infer that Miss Maudie is very positive, considering she is a widow. Even though she lost her love, she still finds a way to continue her life positively.
God Is Good.
Miss Maudie is very religious, and states her religion in paragraph 14, chapter 5. She says "I'm just a baptist."
Demons or Angels?
Even though Arthur (Boo) Radley is seen as the neighborhood mystery, Miss Maudie talks very highly of him. In paragraph 20, chapter 5 , Miss Maudie says "I remember Arthur Radley when he was a boy. He always spoke nicely to me, no matter what folks said he did."
It is very easy to infer that Miss Maudie has a family-oriented point of view.
Also, Scout and Miss Maudie have a long conversation throughout chapter 5.
The Boy Next Door 😉
In paragraph 19, chapter 5, Miss Maudie says “If Atticus Finch drank until he was drunk he wouldn’t be as hard as some men are at their best.” I enjoy this quote because it goes to show how strong and caring Miss Maudie thinks Atticus is.
