8th Grade Dance

The 8th-grade dance will be held in the Creekside Middle School cafeteria from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20th. Thank you to our eighth grade dance committee that is working hard to make it a very special night for our students and raise funds to support the dance.

We ask that students “dress-up” for this dance, but the dance should not be thought of as a prom. Tuxedos and formal dresses are not appropriate.

Students are able to bring their phones to take pictures We discourage students from having a “date” for the dance; however, we encourage all 8th-grade students to attend. Dance invitations will be coming home with your student soon! The dance is FREE for all 8th grade students!

8th Grade Promotion

Our 8th-grade Promotion Ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, May 25th, 2022. The ceremony will take place at Larry Dale field at Woodstock High School. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony usually lasts approximately one hour. Please use the same attire as specified for the eighth grade dance above.

We ask that you sit in the stadium (first come, first serve). Limited seating will be available for adults who find it difficult to use the bleachers, or to those who may need special accommodations. We ask that the audience remains seated until the end of the event and all students have been recognized.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved into the main gym at Woodstock High School.

The Creekside staff is looking forward to sharing this special event with our eighth grade students and their families!
