Food Traditions in Mexico

The Day of the Dead is a holiday in celebrating the dead, it is celebrated October 31st through November 2nd. The 31st of October is when children invited dead children back to visit. The following day is called either Día de los Inocentes, Day of the innocents or Día de los Angelitos, Day of the Little Angels. This celebrates the death of children. November 2nd is simply called Day of the Dead to celebrate all of the deceased. Families in Mexico and around the world get together to celebrate, mourn and remember those who have died. Foods with lots of yeast and eggs are very common.
