¨Type 2 diabetes is a chronic disease where your body does not utilize the insulin provided by the pancreas effectively. When insulin is released by the pancreas it lowers your blood sugar. But in this case the body is insulin resistant.

The people with diabetes should monitor their carbohydrate intake by keeping a food log. Fats should 25-30% of your daily calories. And diabetics need to limit their intake on saturated fats. Lastly, proteins should count for 12-20% of their daily calories. Although this number could vary due to patients medical history.
