Sticky Slime

Materials

2 beakers

Water

Glue

Borax

Wax paper

Salt

Cornmeal

Baking powder

Sugar

Stirring rod

Original

Measure 1/2 cup of hot water into beaker and add 1 tablespoon of borax. Mix. In a different beaker measure 1 tablespoon of water and 1 tablespoon of glue. Mix. Add borax solution into the mixture glue and water. Stir with stirring rod. Drain excess water. Pour slime onto wax paper.



The borax is a compound so I it hooks all the glue's molecules to make it stick together. The original recipe formed a bouncy texture.

Salt

Measure 1/2 cup of hot water into beaker and add 1 tablespoon of borax. Mix. In a different beaker measure 1 tablespoon of water, 1 tablespoon of glue and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Mix. Add borax solution into the mixture of salt, glue and water. Stir with stirring rod. Drain excess water. Pour slime onto wax paper.

Cornmeal

Measure 1/2 cup of hot water into beaker and add 1 tablespoon of borax. Mix. In a different beaker measure 1 tablespoon of water, 1 tablespoon of glue and 1/2 teaspoon of cornmeal. Mix. Add borax solution into the mixture of cornmeal, glue and water. Stir with stirring rod. Drain excess water. Pour slime onto wax paper.

Baking powder

Measure 1/2 cup of hot water into beaker and add 1 tablespoon of borax. Mix. In a different beaker measure 1 tablespoon of water, 1 tablespoon of glue and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. Mix. Add borax solution into the mixture of baking powder, glue and water. Stir with stirring rod. Drain excess water. Pour slime onto wax paper

Sugar

Measure 1/2 cup of hot water into beaker and add 1 tablespoon of borax. Mix. In a different beaker measure 1 tablespoon of water, 1 tablespoon of glue and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Mix. Add borax solution into the mixture of sugar, glue and water. Stir with stirring rod. Drain excess water. Pour slime onto wax paper.
