Inspiring Innovation
QACPS Department of Instructional Services: Vol 1 Ed 6
Inspiring Innovator at Sudlersville Middle School plus updates!
We know the school year is winding down, but that has not slowed innovative instruction across QACPS! In fact, multiple nominations for our Inspiring Innovator were received last week alone! In this edition, we are excited to highlight - Barry Conner, 8th grade science and PLTW teacher at Sudlersville Middle School.
We are also very excited about the range of exciting presentation proposals for this year's, "Inspiring Innovation: Surfing the Digital Wave Conference!" Be on the look out for the conference's website announcement.
Finally, check out the timely articles about kids and screentime and do not forget to try out some of the UDL tech tools in the last few weeks of school. Now is your time to investigate new, engaging tools with your students!
Coined the "Perfect Pedagogical Trifecta" by a Colleague
Mr. Conner's nominator remarked that Barry "continually employs the latest scientific techniques and equipment in his middle school classroom. He is trained in the most up-to-date technologies and the strategies that go along with them. His charismatic personality combines with his technology and strategy to make the perfect pedagogical trifecta. Hands-on and engaging STEM content and learning are the order of the day every day in Mr. Conner's classroom!"
