Dear SASC Families,
We are now entering our 5th week of distance learning, and I wanted to take a moment to check in on our SASC community. I want to express to all of you how proud I am of your adaptability and grit during a time of uncertainty and crisis. I am continuously impressed by how our staff and students are taking on the challenge of learning during this time.
To our families, thank you for stepping in and taken on a huge role in your child's education. We know this has been an unexpected and challenging change for many of you, but your support and participation has been invaluable.
To our students, your families are keeping your world spinning and we know to do that we have to practice our Knights Pride Expectations. So please remember to Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible, especially to your family. They are really trying hard to make this work for you.
So show our Knight Pride, we have a new virtual SASC Knight Pride Ticket. It can be found in the weekly newsletter and in your teacher’s CANVAS course. Anyone can submit one. You can get a shout out next week on our virtual video message.
Stay Strong, Stay Safe, and Stay Healthy!
With great love and care

SASC Student Spotlights
Since our 8th graders and Seniors are having a very unusual end to their final year of middle school and high school, respectively, we want to highlight them on our school's social media accounts so they know how proud we are of them!
To our 8th grade parents, please feel free to click on the link below to submit a few pieces of information about your 8th grader (and a photo from this year) so we can create a post for your child!
To our 12th grade parents, please feel free to click on the link below to submit a few pieces of information about your senior (and a photo from this year) so we can create a post for your child!
Message from Friends Page
With our students finishing the year at home, there will be a slight change in our yearbook. The ever-popular signing of the yearbook will be replaced with "messages from friends."
Our yearbook committee is requesting that all students write a one-sentence message to their friends and classmates. Our yearbook editors will be creating a "Message from Friends" page and will add all the messages received to our yearbook. Please email your messages to Mrs. Hering at mary.hering@springscs.org.
Say Thanks - Staff Appreciation Week
Next week, we will be putting a special gratitude spirit week to show our staff just how much they are loved and appreciated. However, we are asking our students and families to create a special message for our staff members. It can be a short 30 second video or a photo with a special message.
Please send your photo or video to sasc@springscs.org and our media staff will put together a special video for our staff members. We will be sharing it on our school's social media accounts. Please send them by Monday, April 27th.
Spring Spirit Week
For our Quest Families
As we become more comfortable with these digital tools, a variety of instruction will be presented through our online classrooms. As a reminder, students should check-in daily with their teachers on CANVAS and do their best to complete and submit their assignments. If you need any assistance or support, please do not hesitate to reach out to your classroom teacher.
Distance Learning Plans each week will be shared by teachers via CANVAS and in our school newsletter. Additional resources for parents and students are also linked on the weekly distance learning plan. Below is a one-page resource with links to access each of your student's weekly assignments as well as when teachers and ACEs are available for live class meetings and small group instruction.
SASC Quest Distance Learning Plan for Week of April 20th - 24th
I will be available live to go over the one-page resource on Monday, April 20th at 4:00pm. See below for Zoom meeting information.
