Reminder About Morning Drop Off
As the temperature begins to drop we wanted to send out a reminder that everyday our doors open at 8:25 AM! We have had a lot of students arriving to campus between 7:30 and 8:25, and during this time the students are not being monitored. Student monitoring begins when doors open at 8:25 AM.
Inclement Weather Scenarios
There are three potential winter-weather scenarios in our district: a closure, two-hour delay, and early dismissal. In the case of any of these scenarios, we will send a message through Infinite Campus, as well as post on the district’s website and Facebook page as soon as possible. Please make sure your contact information is up-to-date through the Infinite Campus app or website. If you don’t have an Infinite Campus account, visit our Parent Applications Dashboard page for a how-to guide or contact the front office. LEARN MORE

What's Happening Around WMS?
In case you missed it, our staff was in the Halloween holiday spirit this week!
Thank you to all who supported B.I.O.N.I.C' S Socks for a Cause.
We didn't quite meet our goal to purchase a full prosthetic, but we did sell enough socks to cover 82% of a leg for an amputee! We will partner another school to cover the rest and over the next few months we will learn of the individual who received our donation! Way to go WMS community! In addition we earned an additional 72 pairs of socks for local donation! Thanks again for all of your support!
Mrs. Brandl and BIONIC
Way to go, Mrs. Baldino!
Hey look, it's one of our WMS alumnus, Brady! He paid a very special visit to WMS today to acknowledge Mrs. Baldino. The Severance High School Football Team has started a tradition of recognizing one teacher who has had a significant influence on them throughout their K-12 educational experience. Brady has chosen to recognize our very own, Mrs. Baldino! Congratulations!
Feedback Needed on 2025 - 2026 Student School Calendar
Each year our Calendar Committee reviews state requirements, gathers feedback on proposed calendar options, and recommends a school calendar option to the Board of Education for consideration of approval. Please complete a brief survey to help our Calendar Committee determine what is best for our students for the 2025 - 2026 school year. This survey will be open for two weeks, and will close on November 15.
Safe Schools Month: Safe2Tell Anonymous Reporting
Safe2Tell provides students, parents, and community members a safe and anonymous way to report information about any issues that concern their safety or the safety of others. There are three ways to make a report: 1) Call 1-877-542-7233; 2) Report online via Safe2Tell; and 3) Place a report through the Safe2Tell App (Google Play | App Store). In addition to anonymous reporting through Safe2Tell, students and families are always encouraged to address any concerns with a teacher or staff member. LEARN MORE

Family Connection -Family Table Time
Did you know that teens who eat dinner with their families are less likely to use drugs or alcohol? Family dinner time activities and conversations can establish lifelong healthy habits, rituals, help to stay organized, create memories and traditions. Family dinner time can help promote values, ethics and principles within the family unit which in turn helps teens be healthy members of society.

VOLUNTEER COACHING INFORMATION
There are a few steps to volunteering as a Coach at WMS. The first step is to speak with the Head Coach of the sport you want to participate in. When that coach approves you, he or she will send a note to Mr. Cox, our Athletic Director, informing him of the potential volunteer, and that the coach has met the potential volunteer and has a plan for that volunteer to help our program. The potential volunteer will then need to come see Mr. Cox to get a Volunteer Coaching form. You will need that form in order to complete an application to volunteer on our RAPTOR system. Once you have the form, go to RAPTOR and fill out the volunteer application. When you are approved, you will be in the system and are then able to work with our athletes.
Please call Mr. Cox if you have any questions, or need help working through the process, at (970) 686-8219.
