Welcome to Week One - Goal Setting!
The wellness challenge is all about taking small steps toward a healthier you. In week one, we will focus on goal setting, a process that will help you realize, work toward, & achieve your goals.
Personal Improvement Goals
Your Personal Improvement Goal, or PIG as we affectionately like to call it will be your focus throughout the wellness challenge. We highly encourage you to set a "stretch" PIG - make it something that will push you to really make a change for the better. Hint: You might even get extra points for achieving a truly advanced PIG by the end of the challenge!
This week, you will be asked to establish your PIG on the week 1 scorecard. Take some time this week to think about, draft, and chat with your teammates to work to create a solid goal – here’s a cheat sheet to help ya out! Goal Setting Worksheet >>>
We recommend attending Monday's Walk & Talk session about goal setting to help you get started (see events list below)!
3 Tips to a Successful Team
The Wellness Challenge is more fun as a team effort:
- Start off on the same page - Meet with your team this week to discuss your goals and decide how you will communicate throughout the challenge.
- Go to events with your team - The points really start to add up when you attend challenge events, especially if some or all of your team attends together!
- Offer support - Checking in with your teammates to offer and/or ask for support in reaching your PIG or attending events is key!

Come share your goal on the #goalwall in the Bistro anytime throughout the week. Get extra points for taking a picture in front of the wall with your team! Photobooth provided on Friday from 3-4pm. Be sure to use #SUwellnesschallenge on Instagram and/or Facebook
Team Goal Setting Session

Meet with your team anytime this week to work through the goal setting worksheet and discuss how you will support each other in working toward your personal improvement goal.
