Healthy Nuggets From Sunday's Sermon Entitled "The Ways of God" by Bishop Rick Williams Sr.

Scripture References:

Isaiah 55: 1-13

John 14:6

Your mind says, "God if you already knew why did you send Jesus?"

Why did God say don't eat when he knew man would fail?

We must understand God is not like man.

A lot of our decisions and things we do arent God.

God has certain ways.

You wouldn't have someone else order your spouse something they dont eat. You know their ways because you have spent time with them.

When you see some as they truly are you must be careful. Some things come out you dont know thats in you. We will act on things we dont know are in us.

We must stop being preoccupied with money.

There are things you dont need money for.

Salvation is free.

Be sure youre not following a title. Man. Gods ways arent our ways nor his thoughts ours.

We are going through motions. We don't know the ways of the Lord.

We got it wrong.

We dont serve and worship God but the idea of God.

We don't know his ways.

We must cast our thoughts on Jesus instead of being preoccupied with our own thoughts.

We are in rebellion when we think our own way.

Are you operating in Gods ways or out of the habit of representing him?

God doesn't need our representation. God in us is the hope of glory.

We get upset and angry because we bought into religion and tradition.

God purchased us.

We've allowed the gospel to become like humanism.

Come out from beyond them be different.

The conclusions have been made. Theres no debate.

Jesus said I AM the way the truth and the life no one can come to the father but by HIM.

He is the ONLY way!

Why are you still debating? God the creator said I AM the way!

All we have to do is get more of Jesus.

He has everything we need to do what we need. He put it inside us.

You know your mom. If she says, "I will be there at 7 to pick you up," but shes late, you know somethings wrong. She will always send word.

So how come we dont know God and try to fix it ourselves? He has sent his word.

When you dont see the way, God will send what you need.

He wants to establish covenant relationships.

We look at ourselves as grasshoppers. When God says im gonna do it, he does it HIS way.

Gods word is true.

Where God leads the facts dont count!

You have nations inside of you. You have a call of God inside you.

His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

You have the promise. Dont com-promise.

God's ways are to choose someone like you.

Man isnt meant to get Gods glory.

When man begins to take Gods glory it doesnt work. Things get jacked up.

God doesn't give his glory to another.

"At C.I.C.A.N, we are pure in our worship. We still know him. We still call on his name!"

The judge weighs evidence. We must be a Fruit Inspector." See if the fruit lines up. You will know them by their fruit.

You aren't where you are because of you. God did it.

God is the God of relationship.

-----------------------------------------------------------

In closing remarks, Bishop Williams stated that it's time for us to grow up. We must stop majoring on minors. Do you REALLY know him?

We dont count on the people, we count on Jesus.

We all have made mistakes. Faith always obtains a good report.

Commit your ways to the Lord.

Todays message "The Ways of God," was truly a wake up call to us all. We must remain humble while he perfects us, trusting his ways and thoughts not our own. If you would like a copy of today's sermon, please visit the C.I.C.A.N bookstore or call to order yours today.

God bless!

Mission Soul Reach Possible

Big image
The Youth & Young adults are sponsoring an evangelistic outreach campaign to minister "Care" to the men and women in the military. We are calling it "Mission Soulreach Possible."

We solicit your support, ideas, and participation to help us raise money for this great mission.

Will you help? Our goal is to send 25 to 50 prepackaged care packages by the end of July.

Contact: MIT Talita Mapp or Young Adult Leader Chi Chi for more information following the service.

Thank you in advance!

Calling ALL Writers!

The Youth and Young Adults will be writing letters to our soldiers and would also like for the children to participate. Sometimes just a friendly letter of appreciation with a cute smiley face is just what a lonely soldier needs after a long day in the field.

If you would like your child to participate, please have them write a little letter of appreciation, the size of notebook paper (Its ok for parents to assist) for example: "Hello! Thank you for protecting our country." Add some cute drawings and if possible, stickers to make it EXTRA special for whomever will be opening it!

If your child feels they're not the best artist, that's okay! They may also cut out coloring sheets, decorate them and paste to note paper!

Support Missions

If you would like to make a monetary donation to assist with the cost of supplies etc, for the rebuilding of the clinic and orphanage and/or you would like to sponsor a child in Haiti, please call the church for more information.

Volunteers For Church Clean Up

Can You Lend A helping Hand?

There is the need for someone to clean the church on the 5th and 1st Saturday of each month. You could come as a team, with another family or ministry or you could swap out with someone every other month. There are many ways to serve in this area even if its just picking up trash in the sanctuary after each service.

"When you take care of Gods house, he will take care of yours!"

Pray For Souls

Proverbs 11:30 "He that winneth souls is wise."

"What Do You Have In Your Hand? Is it a song? Is it a dance? Is it a poem? You can win souls for the kingdom by utilizing the gifts and talents he has given you all IN THE NAME OF JESUS! What will you do with whats in your hand? Use it to glorify God in the earth and you shall receive wages in heaven!

Romans 8:19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed
