All Positive - All Athletics - All Eagles - Jan./Feb. 2023

A Message From the Athletic Director

What a great start to 2023! The students have been representing Linden well both on and off the playing surface so far this winter season. On top of competing at a high level, the positive attitudes and smiles I see on a daily basis cannot be ignored. Students are pouring their hearts not only into their athletics, but more importantly into their academics. The way our students handle their business is a constant reminder of how lucky we are to be a part of a community like Linden. If a student needs to be redirected, it typically is only one time, which is very unlikely in a high school setting. On top of our students handling their business, our community continues to pull together for great causes coming together to support those in need. This past week our week was highlighted by the N.A.ME game where Coach Klein spearheaded an event partnered with Hurley Children's Hospital, which reminded all of us that this life we live is much bigger than sports! More on that to come in this month's edition!

Our winter season is quickly coming to an end, which is unbelievable! Wrestling has wrapped up their regular season highlighted by 4 of our individual wrestlers winning their weight class at the FML championships this past weekend. All other sports are continuing to compete and are looking to finish the season strong. Continue the great work Eagles!

Enjoy!

Thank you to everyone who made the N.A.ME Game what it was Friday night! Because of your generosity, we were able to raise $2,300 for the children who are patients at Hurley Hospital. A huge shout out to the administration team and Coach Fiebernitz for donating the support squad t-shirts! Thank you to all the athletes and their families for spoiling the newest members of our Linden family. It was a great evening because it was centered on selflessness and a whole lot of love. Unified Basketball - Season Wrap-Up

The unified season came to an end this past Friday night with a game against Holly. All of the players had a great time and put in a lot of work having two practices a week. Special thanks to Mrs. Yankley and Mr. Duncan as they were a key reason this season was such a success!

Eagles @ LCA

This past week both the boys and girls varsity basketball teams had the opportunity to play on the floor at LCA. It was a great event that made a memory of a lifetime! The Pistons game was postponed due to an ice storm in Texas...…yes, an ice storm in Texas. The date of the rescheduled game has not been released yet by the NBA.
