Dear Weibel Families,
Happy New Year! I hope all the families had a wonderful, relaxing holiday season and wish everyone the best in 2023. I would like to thank everyone for wishing our Weibel staff a very warm Holiday season and all of your support with the Kids Against Hunger event. Weibel raised close to $5000 to support the meal supply cost. Thank you everyone for your generosity during this Holiday season.
We will kick off 2023 with the Great Kindness Challenge. Please see below for more information on our spirit days from our Counselors and the Student Council team. I hope many students will be able to show kindness in a variety of ways. January and February are both filled with activities and celebrations. COUNSELORS CORNER
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are so excited to start 2023 with the Great Kindness Challenge. We do this every year as a challenge to the students to be aware of how important it is to be kind to others. The students are challenged to try different types of kindness - from smiling at others or inviting someone to play, to picking up trash or helping with chores. Sometimes we forget how essential these small acts are in the lives of others. Please take the time to talk about kindness and how it makes you feel. Then ask your child what types of kindness they notice and how it makes them feel. Connecting in this way will help your child understand the value and impact of their actions. Encourage your child to engage in random acts of kindness at school and at home. Here is a great short list for you to talk about with your kids! Here is a file with activities and read aloud books for you to enjoy with your child. This file even has an at home challenge! Good luck!
At school we will be participating in the Great Kindness Challenge from January 23-27th. Please encourage your student to participate with acts of kindness! We will be handing out challenge check lists for them to complete and return to their teacher. We will also have activities on the playground that celebrate kindness as well!
Happy 2023! Looking forward to another wonderful year working together with you and your student(s).
