Congratulations goes out to fifth grade students, Akshaya Achanta and Kamil Wandycz, who were recognized along with other DuPage county students at the Illinois Principals Association (IPA) student recognition breakfast Monday morning at Abbington Banquets in Glen Ellyn. Akshaya and Kamil were chosen by the fifth grade team, fine arts team and the administration for their leadership qualities, great character, and tremendous effort in school.
DuJardin School will host “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” on Friday, May 3rd in the gym during lunch time. Thank you to Miss Giammarino, Mrs. Treanor and the Kids for Character Club for sponsoring this wonderful fundraising event. Last year DuJardin School raised over $500 for the Foundation of Childhood Cancer. Once again all proceeds will be donated in the memory of former DuJardin student, Alec Kubica. Bring a quarter and purchase a cup of lemonade tomorrow at lunch and support such a great cause!
I hope all parents are planning to attend Portfolio Night on Thursday, May 9th from 6:45-8:15 p.m. Our teachers and students look forward to this special event during which students will share a different Capstone project at each grade level. Our 5th Graders will be running their annual Portfolio Night Fundraising Bake Sale! Plan on purchasing some treats to take home!!

New ID Security System
All School District 13 buildings have a new ID security system.
As always, when you enter the building, come to the office first to get a visitor's badge. You will need to bring in your driver's license to be rescanned.

5th to 6th Grade Transition Night
Westfield will be hosting their annual 5th to 6th Grade Transition Night from 7:00 pm ‐ 8:00 pm at Westfield on Monday, May 13, 2019. Mr. Larsson, Mrs. Gabany, and various teachers will share important details about the transition to Westfield Middle School! Students and parents will be allowed to tour the building. The Westfield Motivation Committee is hosting an Anderson’s Book Fair for students to purchase books for summer reading during the event.
