CADD

Introduction--what is CADD?
CADD is short for computer-aided design. Computer-aided design or CADD is the use of computer systems to assist in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design. CADD is also combination of hardware and software that gives engineers and architects the chance to design everything from furniture to airplanes. Down below are some pictures of what happens in CADD like blue prints and some software that are used.
click this button and a website for CADD will appear
This is a good website to look at because the website helps to better explain some benefits and the software that are used in CADD.

Sessions explained...
In session 2 and 3 the student learned about the drawing used to represent objects in blue prints. In session 4 the student(s) learned a few more things about drawing then started blue prints. In the sessions 5 and 6 the student used his or her knowledge from what the module has taught the students to finish creating the blue print of the house.
CADD in Pitsco explained...
There is a website called Pitsco that helps students better understand a few jobs. The site (Pitsco) includes sessions and each job has its own module. The module is basically the rotation the student(s) learns in a module. The student(s) also have partners and the teacher chooses each persons partner so there would basically be a group of two for each rotation or sometimes the student may work alone but thus depends on how many students are in a class. The module CADD includes making a blue print of a house using the things like specific drawings like real construction workers use in their line of work. With these blue prints the student(s) makes a house the student(s) use even furniture, putting in electrical outlets and more.
Some jobs that include the work of CADD are...
- Drafters
- Architects
- Engineers
- Industrial Designers
The job of a Drafter...
A drafter earns a yearly salary between $48,370---$57,240. A drafter is a person that uses software to convert the designs of engineers and architects into drawings and plans. Employment of drafters is projected to show little or no change from 2012 to 2022.Drafters will continue to work on technical drawings and documents related to the design of buildings, machines, and tools, new software programs are making the work more efficient, thus requiring fewer workers.
The job of a Architect...
A architect earns a yearly salary of $79,300. A architect is someone who designs buildings and many times also watches over their construction. Employment of architects is projected to grow 17 percent from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations.
The job of an Engineer...
A engineer earns a yearly salary between $82,710---$103,870. A Engineer is someone who designs, builds, or maintains engines, machines, or public works. There are many types of engineers so I will use the engineer Computer Hardware Engineer. Employment of computer hardware engineers is projected to grow 7 percent from 2012 to 2022, slower than the average for all occupations. A certain amount of engineers will be needed for the new computer hardware because more of the technology takes place with software than with hardware.
Conclusion--Overall CADD is...
CADD is a way in the work force, used to make houses and can do even more. Teaching students about careers is a good thing to do so students get a better idea of what kind of job they want to do in their future. CADD is very interesting because the student(s) are learning and getting idea of what kind of job they want while also learning in a fun and creative way.
