Francestown Elementary School

From the Principal's Desk
We are coming to the end of our second full week of school and students and staff are really settling into routines, building community, and starting to dive into the academic curriculum. We had a wonderful All School Meeting led by our fourth graders followed by a well-attended Community Lunch. It was so wonderful to have so many parents join us. This is a monthly vent that occurs on the third Friday of every month. We hope to see you on October 19th.
Over the past two weeks most of our classrooms have had visitors from our our community partners. There were visits from Jeannie, our Arts Integration Specialist, Cornucopia, as well as the Harris Center. There are some exciting events coming up in the next month. Please keep up to date with these by reading through this newsletter, following us on Facebook, Twitter, and of course our website.
Next week students in grades 1 - 4 will be taking the district NWEA computerized tests. These tests are given three times a year. Teachers use the data from these assessments to inform their instruction. If you have any questions about these assessments, please let me know.
Have a great weekend,
