Lions Club Donation & Vision Screening
The Glidden Lions Club plans to come to the Chequamegon North Campus to conduct vision screening for Glidden Elementary Students in conjunction with our 4K Screening next week.
Also, the Glidden Lions Club has identified the North Campus Special Education Department as the recipient of their fundraiser funds from their "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny" fundraiser this past weekend. The funds will be used to purchase classroom additions that will support a successful learning environment for many years to come.
The Glidden Lions Club also plans to give their annual award at the CMS awards day where two 8th grade students will be recognized with a monetary award.

CMS Dance Fun
Chequamegon Middle School students enjoyed their first dance in several years! Our DJ extraordinaire was our IT man Mr. Bill Weiler and staff chaperones Mrs. Sarah Graceffa, Mrs. Steph Ernst, and Mrs. Kacey Hanson. The Middle School Student Council is hoping to plan another dance in May despite the busy schedule that happens with schools during that time.
Chequamegon District Buses
The parking lot at a middle school dance looks a little different than high school dances. Chequamegon school buses transport students from the south to the north campus for the evening of the dance.
Guest DJ
I enjoyed a brief stand behind the DJ table while Mr. Weiler stepped away! We are so fortunate that he supports our district in all of these ways!
Lots of Dancing!

Safety Update
The Chequamegon North Campus participated in the statewide tornado drill on April 7 at 1:00 in the afternoon. All students in the Glidden Elementary and Chequamegon Middle School participated in the drill and discussed Tornado Watches and Tornado Warnings and where to shelter in the event of these weather occurrences.
Guest Speaker
Ed Lanzer, a motivational speaker, was at the Chequamegon Middle School on April 19 to talk to students about making good choices and being an upstander. This opportunity was funded through an AODA grant provided to the middle school.
Middle School Athletic Director
Steph Ernst has been given the duties of Middle School athletic director for the next school year as part of her school day. She will use approximately two 38-minute class periods within her schedule to complete these tasks. This will be an asset to have the management of the athletic events within the building and with the students who will participate. With a reduction in two middle school positions, we are still working on finalizing the master schedule, but we hope to schedule early in May.
