Announcements/Upcoming Events/Celebrations

  • Don't forget to bring in "S" snacks for Monday night's board meeting at South.
  • More walk-throughs this week - I am seeing some amazing student engagement and checks for understanding. Keep thinking about physical movement! Lots of research supports how activity affects learning and brain processing!!!
  • The Device Committee will be discussing a decision next week. Please let me, Mr. Rogers, or Mrs. Hyatt know how you plan to use our new devices. What do you dream of doing with your students and their new devices?
  • FEEL THE ROAR - Check out the videos online (football and cross country) made by Mrs. Syswerda's son Thane (graduate of South :)). The Syswerda family was honored at last night's football dinner. Super special!!
  • Students will be shopping at the Book Fair during PE time Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
  • Parent Conference sign-up sheets will be set up at the Family Reading Night. This will be in attempt to help families with multiple siblings plan accordingly. Information teachers need to know for October 21: The schedule that day is 12 noon -7:00 pm. There will be a break from 4:00 - 5:00pm. We will have dinner for the team to eat together that day. :) The goal is to meet with all parents.
  • Eastbrook Homecoming is next week. Friday night Eastbrook faces Oak Hill (toughest opponent yet). At this time both teams are undefeated. It will be a great home game!
  • The Eastbrook Cross country team won the Grant Four meet this week for the first time since the 90's. Way to go, Coach Bryan Jackson!
