Laurel Ridge Elementary
May 2016
Note from Ms. Kyle
It is hard to believe that it is May. This year has gone quickly!
First it is important to share the the Georgia Department of Education has released the 2014-2015 College and Career Readiness Performance Index Scores (CCRPI). Laurel Ridge scored an 87.6. This is a 3.4 point increase from the previous year! To learn more about CCRPI scores in DeKalb County Schools, please click on the link below titled CCRPI Scores - DCSD Press Release.
I have also linked below a number of items that you may need as we close out this year and prepare for the 2016-2017 school year. You can access each item by clicking on the link/title. The links include a survey for parents to give input on their child's 2016-2017 teacher, the 2016-2017 supply list and information from the health department about back to school immunizations. Finally, we are looking for nominations for parents and community members to serve on the LRE school council. (You may nominate yourself or others.) The link will give you details about school council and the nomination process.
There is a lot going on this month. So please take the time to look over the events below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.
