Today's Morning Message:
Do friends have fun on the playground?
- Say the words in the morning message, tapping your knees for each word. Count the words. Have children count the words.
- Write the sentence. Point to each word each word as you read it Encourage children to say the words.
- Point to the letters H, N, O and circle the ones in the sentence. . Review the letters C, F, T and M.

Read the name of the author and photographer. Stop on pages 10 & 11. Count the friends. Ask: Do you have this many friends at school? Continue reading. Ask: What things does the little girl enjoy doing with her friends at school? What does the little girl mean when she says, "the best part of my day was you?'

Shape of the day:
Square
Color and cut out several red trapezoids and green triangles. Use 2 red trapezoids and one green triangle to make a design. Let your child see it and tell them to remember. Cover your design and see if your child can recreate it from memory. Have fun making more designs and seeing if you can duplicate them with your child. :)
