Jenevieve the Magnificent

What did she get herself into?
Jenevieve chose to go into the Steel Industry because its one of the top grossing industries in the world. There's so many uses for steel in the world and that's exactly why she chose it.
How business was ran
The number of steel produced in the US was 77,000 tons in 1870 to over 10 million tons in 1900. The bulk of the production at the turn of the century was in the hands of a single company. Jenevive's Steel Company. No one was able to compete with her company. She also purchased iron ore deposits as well as steamships and railroad cars which were used to ship ore to her plants and goods to her customers. The largest company in the world at that time, controlling 200 subsidiaries and employing more than 168,000 people. Her workers were treated respectfully and they were payed very well too. Her company relied on workers, so they were expected to be treated well.
Philanthropy
Jenevive gave as much as 5 million towards institutes and university's , libraries. She even helped the kids in Africa that are suffering and want to have a good education. Many more as well as helping patients trying to survive cancer. Shortly after, she met her husband Jared Carnathan who was also into the steel industry. They collaborated with one another in business and made 10x as much together. 5 years later, they had a child who was named Jennie, who was assumed to take over the business when she grew older.
Jenevieve owned several multi-million dollar houses each and every one came with an extravagant pool and garden. She was one of the very few people that could actually afford new architectural styles of homes as well as the new additions to the house. Hers was one of the most expensive. She lived in a private residence but had many reunions and hosted many parties.
