Recap: FZN River City Showcase and BOA
Since the last issue of the Spirit Notes, the band has participated in two competitions. Here's a quick recap and links:
FZN River City Showcase - October 14th
The band showed much perseverance, dedication and hard work on Saturday the 14th of October. During the afternoon preliminary competition, they battled through a very hot performance with strong winds that sent the props flying down the field (check out the video!). While not earning an award, they qualified for Finals and came back that evening with a very strong performance that placed the band as 7th overall. Way to go!

Bands of America: St. Louis Super Regional Championship - October 20
On Friday, October 20th, the band headed down to the Edwards Jones Dome to participate in the annual Bands of America competition. A total of 66 bands came to St. Louis from many neighboring states. While their performance didn't score high enough to earn a "Top 3" spot against 23 other Class AAA schools, the Band sounded and looked fantastic.
Thank you Directors, Chaperones, Truck Drivers, Uniforms and parents for helping make these events happen!!! We truly have the best parent volunteers and cannot thank you enough for everyone's hard work and being so flexible. We never know what surprises the buses will bring us each competition!
Also, a special Thank You goes to Rick Zoellner for your continued support with photography and videos. it's great to have all the video support this year.
