2- Hr. Late Start, Sept. 1, 2021

Pickerington Local School District will have a 2-hr late start Wednesday, Sept. 1 due to staff professional development. This means students should arrive two hours after their normal start time. Buses will pick up students two hours later to coincide with the start of the school day. The Middle School start time will be 10:40 and dismissal will remain at the normal time of 3:30 pm.

H.O.P.E. Bags

Do you know someone who may need assistance? The H.O.P.E. Weekend Food Program and H.O.P.E. Monthly Hygiene Program are available - for more details please see the attached flyer.

How it works...

The Weekend Food Program is offered and organized by the H.O.P.E. Ministry of Violet Baptist Church.

Before school D.A.R.E. Programs coming soon

Before School D.A.R.E. Program

Officer Frost, of the Pickerington Police Department, will be offering our students the opportunity to attend a morning DARE Program. This two-week, before-school program will start at Toll Gate Middle School September 13 thru September 24, from 7:45—8:30 a.m. (Please note that transportation to classes will not be provided.) At the end of these two weeks of classes, your child will receive a certificate of completion.

If you would like your child to participate in this important program, please see the attached flyer, and return it to Toll Gate Middle School.

Jr. Tiger Cross Country Camp

All 4th, 5th, and 6th grade boys and girls interested in running and/or trying something new!

Our mission is to help grow the sport of cross country and distance running amongst our

young student athletes. Campers will get to run alongside Pickerington cross country team

members and coaches each day while getting to meet fellow runners and hopefully future


Each practice will have an element of workouts and routines from our HS programs morphed

into fun activities and games for all the campers to enjoy!

Campers will be training to run in a mile race at the Tiger XC Invitational on Saturday,

September 25th between the junior high and high school competitions.

Camp begins Wednesday, August 25th. You can join ANYTIME.

Practices are Wednesdays 6:30 – 7:30 pm & Sundays 2:00 – 3:00 pm.

Camp is run by the Pickerington Central XC Booster volunteers with assistance from local

coaches and athletes.

Cost is $40 per camper. Please make checks payable to “PHSC XC Parents Assoc.”

Campers will receive a t-shirt and entry in the 1-mile race at the Tiger Inv.
