Proteins contribute to growth and development. They help the body repair itself. They also provide the essential amino acids, even the ones you body cannot provide for itself.


Complete proteins: contain all essential amino acids such as meat, fish, poultry, cheese, eggs, yogurt, and milk.

Imcomplete proteins: These are proteins that come from a plant source such as grains, nuts, beans, seds, peas, and corn.

My reason that proteins are important are because they make up most of the body. they help the body grow and develope. without proteinsyou would not get the essential nutrients your body needs.
