A Message from Mr. Steen . . .
The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) is the state assessment. The IAR will be taken at Lincoln between March 11 and April 1 based on your child’s grade. Make-ups will be conducted on April 2, 3, 6, and 7.
8th Grade: March 11, 12, 13
(Periods 2-4 and Periods 7-8)
7th Grade: March 16, 18, 19
(Periods 2-3 and Periods 6, 8, 9)
Periods 6 & 7 will be flipped for the entire school on these days. Lunch periods are flipped also.
6th Grade: March 30, 31, and April 1
(Periods 3-4 and Periods 7-9)
In addition, all eighth grade students are also required to take the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA). The ISA will be administered on March 3, Period 2-4 and Periods 7-8.

Influenza and the common cold are caused by different viruses, but they have similar symptoms. In general, people with colds feel less sick and are more likely to have a runny or stuffy nose. Colds do not usually result in serious health problems such as pneumonia or hospitalizations.
