ATTention seniors: Senior Information

Project Graduation is tentatively set for Friday, May 28th from 11:00 PM - 4:00 AM at Wylie High School. This event is not an official school function, so seniors are not required to attend. This event is hosted by parents of the senior class using funds raised throughout the year and parent volunteers to help monitor the event. The purpose of Project Graduation is to provide a safe celebration for the Wylie High School Graduates of 2021. The attached agreement MUST be signed and returned to the high school office by Friday, May 21st to attend the event. Seniors will NOT be permitted entrance without this signed agreement.
Senior Walk is scheduled for Thursday, May 20! Seniors will begin at West Intermediate at 1:00 PM followed by East Elementary at 1:30 PM. Seniors will need to wear their cap and gown. This is not a required event.

Baccalaureate is this Sunday, May 23 at 2:00 PM at Beltway Park South. Seniors need to arrive at 1:30 PM in the chapel at Beltway. Seniors will need to follow the graduation dress code for Baccalaureate.

Senior Parents

As of right now, we are severely lacking in volunteers to help organize and run this event. If we cannot get enough parents to volunteer, the 2021 Project Graduation committee may need to evaluate the possibility of cancelling the event and awarding scholarships to students who have helped raise funds this year. Parents, please consider volunteering. We need your help! You can sign up for a shift on the following website: https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/10c0d4fafac2fa5fec07-project

Have you caught someone being a Bulldog?

Have you caught a student or a WHS staff member "Being a Bulldog"? We want to hear about it!

What is being a Bulldog? The American Kennel Club describes a Bulldog as kind but courageous, full of tenacity, friendly, and loyal companions. It is fitting that we are the Wylie Bulldogs because those are the qualities we strive for our campus to exude.

We believe that it is important to recognize those that are examples of kindness, friendliness, loyalty, and courage. Students and staff members can be nominated by students, staff, and community members. It is the hope of WHS that Bulldogs will inspire other Bulldogs to continue to show these characteristics. Nominate someone here!
