Willow Lane News Update
7th Edition: September "Welcome Back to School"
A Whole Paper in 60 Minutes!
Hello Willow Lane,
In order to keep with one of our many new goals for the year, this year's newspaper staff cranked out our September issue in one meeting, on Monday, September 28th. This year there will be a new newspaper every month, posted online, linked to "School Newspaper" in the "Quick Links" on the Willow Lane school homepage. The paper will be available on or before the last day of the month.
Each paper will contain some of the same features or articles. The stories in this introductory paper reveal some of the types of news Willow Lane can expect to receive. On Monday afternoon, newspaper club members were told they had 60 minutes to plan, draft, edit, and publish assignments that were drawn from a hat at random. The club became a crew and tackled the task with gusto. In viewing the following (and preceding) stories, know that they were hurried.
We hope that you enjoy this first and subsequent Willow Lane News, its new features and consistency. Thank you for taking the time to give it a look over.
Sincerely,
Mr. Weimann

Lightning Supply Shack
Here is a message sent by Mr. Bigley about the first purchasing opportunity.
Lightning's Supply Shack will be open for business starting October 19th. I tried to pick times when the whole grade is in one spot. Thank you for your flexibility.
Grade 1-October 19 - 12:40-1:35.
Grade 2-October 20 - 9:10-9:55.
Grade 3-October 21 - 9:10-10:10.
Grade 4-October 22 - 2:10-3:10
Grade 5-October 23 - 12:00-1:00
Last year was a huge success. The profits were used to purchase the volleyball set for out on the field. Have a great day!

Reviews
Another nice thing about reviews is that anyone can write them. The Newspaper Club will provide some, but it would be awesome to have many additional reviews written by readers of the paper. Pay attention to deadlines for publication, and look for future contest information.
