it is important we raise awareness because smoking is really harmful to your body and can cause many bad things to happen to you. Many people don't realize what it actually does to your body and what it can cause. A lot of People think that if they smoke nothing bad will happen and thats not true at all because it does and will affect you. It is important to raise awareness so people are more aware of what can happen and hopefully they will realize that smoking isnt worth the risk of having health problems and etc down the road.

i chose this topic because recently my grandpa a heavy smoker has been diagnosed with stage four COPD, his heart only works at 25%, and the doctors have said it will never get any better. it will continue to decrease over time, and he also has other health issues which all mainly was caused by him smoking.
