Day 1: Mentors as Learners
This training is Day 1 of the two-day required Resident Educator Mentor Academy for the certification of all new mentors in the Ohio Resident Educator Program.

Day 2: Mentors as Decision Makers
This training is Day 2 of the two-day required Resident Educator Mentor Academy for the certification of all new mentors in the Ohio Resident Educator Program.
- Develop leadership skills in coaching
- Gain knowledge and skill to design, practice and implement tailored mentoring support

August 2 - Sharpen Your Leadership Skills to Enhance ELA Instruction and Student Achievement

- Awareness of how judgment limits you and opportunities to decrease it
- Identification of what stops you from living the life you want
- Focus on what promotes an empowered, collaborative culture

August 8, 9 & 10 - OTES Training
Sharpen Your Leadership Skills
The Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES) Evaluator training prepares an evaluator of teachers for effective, high quality and consistent staff evaluation. The training uses the OTES Model, which is aligned to the OTES Framework, as adopted by the State Board of Education.
Attend this 3-day training and gain:
- Understanding and use of the OTES Framework and Rubric
- Skills in scripting, evidence analysis and coaching
- Ideas and resources through collaborative conversations with colleagues
- A requirement for becoming a credentialed OTES Evaluator

August 15 & 16 - Substitute Employment Fair
For your convenience, there is a morning session at each location from 8 to 11 a.m. and an evening session from 3 to 7 p.m. Muskingum Valley ESC is hiring substitutes to work at one of its 17-member school districts in Coshocton, Hocking, Morgan, Muskingum, Perry, and Tuscarawas counties.
