Summary
Jacob is a Jew in a small town in Poland. He and his parents, his brother David, and sister Shanty are tying to survive the holocaust. The Nazi's have forced the Jews to live in a ghetto. His parents try to appear useful during the day by working in the streets. Jacob, David, and Shanty hide in the attic. The Nazi's force the family to move from one concentration camp to another throughout the invasion. On this painful journey they find friends and adventure along the way.
