Islam religion followers are called Muslims and believe in only one god. The common figure in this religion is Abraham and Muhammed. God of Abraham- Allah. Muslims go to a Mosque on Fridays to study the holy book, the Koran, to listen to the Imam preach, and to pray to Allah. There are five main pillars that Muslims have to follow. Belief in Allah, prayer five times a day throughout the day at specific times, charity (giving 2.5% to the poor per year), fasting to show self discipline, and a pilgrimage to Mecca. Annual Hajj is the time in which Muslims travel to Mecca and circle the Kaaba. Mecca is the holiest city in the Islam belief because through Muhammed, god made Mecca.Different sects of this religion are sunni and shi'i. Halal is the acts that are allowed by the Muslims and Haram are the acts that are not allowed by the Muslims such as eating pork or drinking alcohol.
