Dear Families,

We are starting our 3rd week of staying home and providing home instruction for your child(ren) .

How are you doing? Hopefully, you have developed a routine. Our goal is that students are learning and practicing positive social emotional learning while at home.

This newsletter is also designed to provide you with the resources and answer any questions students may have during this time of closure.

JISD Food Distribution Update

JISD will to continue to provide food at the same sites. However, for this week on Thursday students can pick up a meal for Friday too as Friday is a Holiday.

Students Login to SchooLinks and share your course plan with your parents. Your counselor will be sending you an email starting Monday, April 6th . If you have any questions or need a correction have your parents email your counselor.

Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSI)

Texas Success Initiative Assessment as of 3/25/20, the College Board’s online proctoring partner is suspending its live remote proctoring services until further notice. College Board encourages questions and updates to be directed to your ACCUPLACER Outreach representative. Additionally, the TSIA2 release date is postponed to 9/28/20.

Advanced Placement Courses

AP course exams will still happen this year. The exams will take place May 11-22 with makeups on June 1-5. Exams will be administered online at home. You can access the exam by computer, tablet, Chromebook, or smartphone. Please visit link below for more information.

April is designated as the Month of the Military Child, underscoring the role military children play in the armed forces community.
