AR AIMS AP SCIENCE NEWSLETTER
Volume 1, Issue 5
Well, that went fast!
If there are any updates with AP testing, I will keep you updated as they are passed along. You can also keep up with Trevor Packer, Sr. V.P. of College Board on his twitter feed even if you aren't a twitter user. There are new pacing guides that College Board put out in late December to help you navigate through the material to prep your students. They are designed to be useful even if you have only covered 25% of the material so far. We have put them on the AR AIMS AP Google Sites for your convenience. You can also find more information about them and other news from College Board on their 2020-21 School Year Support page.
As always, if you need me for anything please reach out. I'm here to help make your job easier!

Meet AR AIMS Consultant, Patti Meeks
This is Patti's first year as an AR AIMS consultant. She retired from Hamburg High School after 39 years of tireless teaching. She has been an AR AIMS presenter for many years and was an instructional facilitator at Hamburg the last five years of her teaching career. She taught AP Biology for 14 years and presented for LTF for several of those years. Patti is also our AR AIMS 7th Grade Google site manager and trainer. Patti was a member of the 2016 AR NGSS Standards committee. She touts her specialties as AP Biology, Biology, and Instructional Strategies and Assessments, but working with her has allowed me to see that she is a strong advocate for teachers and students. She is a valuable member of the AR AIMS team.
