Appositive Phrase
A noun or noun phrase that renames another noun beside it.
Appositive phrases can be used to explain or modify the noun or pronoun.
Examples:
The girl, Kailah, is sitting beside me.
The boy, Marquez, is trying out for the wrestling team.
Her dog, a black and white beagle, was outside.
The insect, a spider, was on her window.
Amber, her best friend, came back from vacation today.
