Cub Scouts



Come and see what Cub Scout Pack 260’s Pack Meetings look like! The whole family is welcome, and our Pack accepts both boys and girls grades K-5.


Tuesday, October 12th, 6.30pm - 8pm

LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, shelter 1

We will start with a flag ceremony, welcome and announcements.

Followed by fun night time games:

  • scavenger hunt
  • glow bubbles
  • star jars activities


After, we will go on the trail of lights to the fire bowl, for s’mores/cheese pretzels, and the closing ceremony.

Walk to School Day

Thank you to our PTO for passing out goodies for Walk to School Day! We are also thankful that some of our local police officers were able to attend at Davis and Richmond this morning for the kids.

Thank you to everyone who donated beverages for our teachers during conferences!

Monster Mash

Our annual fundraising event Monster Mash will be held outside at Davis, Friday, October 29th, 4-6 p.m. Admission is $5 per child and will include trunk or treating, games, costume contest, and more! We will also have drink concessions, food trucks, and raffle basket tickets available for purchase.

As you know, support is extremely important to PTOs. We rely on donations to help with our fundraising goals for Davis Primary and Richmond Intermediate. We have set up each grade to provide a basket for the Monster Mash raffle, each grade will be as follows:

  • Kindergarten: Toy Basket (ex. action figures, doll, legos, etc.)

  • First grade: Movie night Basket (ex. movie gift cards, popcorn, candy, etc.)

  • Second grade: Sports Basket (ex. balls, gift cards, sports hat, etc.)

  • Third grade: Arts & Crafts Basket (ex. markers, paints, art kits, craft kits, etc.)

  • Fourth grade: Games Basket (ex. board games, card games, etc.)

  • Fifth grade: Fidget/book Basket (ex. fidget spinners, pop-its, chapter books, etc.)


Please have your child drop off donations to their teacher no later than Friday, October 15th.

Yearbook

We need your help!!!! We are looking for this year's yearbook coordinator. No experience necessary! If you are interested in coordinating and organizing pictures throughout the year for the Davis Richmond yearbook, contact us at davisrichmondpto1@gmail.com.

DAVIS FALL PARTY AND COSTUME INFO

Fall parties are right around the corner and we would like you to be aware of our plans and expectations so that you can help your student to prepare. Our celebration is scheduled for Friday, October 29, 2021. The parade will run outside from 1:35 pm to 1:45 pm. Students will exit door 10 and walk around to door 11. Parents may line up along 7th Street and Horne Street outside of the cones and watch the parade.

  • Classroom parties will run from 1:45 pm - 2:35 pm.

  • Room Parents will be allowed to go to classrooms at 1:15 pm for party set up and to assist with costumes after they have checked in at the office.

*If inclement weather, there will not be a parade.


Costume & Party Guidelines:

  • Students should bring costumes in a bag. Costumes must be appropriate for school. Costumes should not be violent or scary in nature. No blood, guts, or weapons. No masks. Make-up is discouraged because it is difficult to apply. No bare midriffs or scant clothing. Students may be asked to remove or put away any parts of costumes based on teacher judgment. Above all, they should be easy to put on and take off.

  • Room parents who are assisting with the parties should not wear disguises that would make it difficult to recognize them as a safe person.

  • Only room parents may attend the classroom parties

  • Room parents can provide treat bags to be sent home with students. No food will be eaten during the party.


Room Parent Guidelines:

  • No more than 2 parents per classroom. Sign-up for room parents is through our PTO.

  • Present proof of full vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test result from within the last 72 hours

  • Wear a proper mask at all times when inside

  • Complete the D303 volunteer form

  • Work with the classroom teacher on activities/games for the party.

  • Work with teacher on any treats provided (if eaten at school OUTSIDE ONLY)

If you would like to donate a gently used or new child’s costume please drop them off at the Davis office.

The halls of Davis have been transformed into an art gallery thanks to Mr. Lundquist and the artists of Davis!

Richmond Intermediate

Precision Fitness Club

Precision Fitness Club will be held on Tuesday and Friday Mornings from 7:15-7:45 a.m., beginning October 12th through March 25th. Precision Fitness is a morning workout program offered to all Richmond Students and allows them to go through fitness stations and exercise under the supervision of Mr. Born (gregory.born@d303.org) and Mr. Lubas (Walter.Lubas@d303.org). Students are dropped off at the main doors at Richmond at 7:15 a.m. and after they workout will join class.

  • Classroom parties will run from 2:20 pm - 2:50 pm.

  • Room Parents will be allowed to go to classrooms at 1:50 pm for party set up and to assist with costumes after they have checked in at the office.

If inclement weather, there will not be a parade.
