In preparation for the Georgia Milestones, we have been working on writing in math. Students are expected to write 5-8 sentences when explaining their constructed response math problems. We have been working on this each day during Warm Up, and will review all math topics before testing begins.

Next week we will continue with our study of Force and Motion, specifically discussing acceleration, inertia, gravity and Newton's Three Laws of Motion! Get ready for a roller coaster ride to the finish!

You can expect to see the Unit 5 Exam Study Guide come home on Monday the 23rd. Vocab Quiz #13 is on Tuesday the 24th. Continue to reinforce the RAPP method of constructing responses for our lab conclusions: R: Restate the Question, A: Answer the Question, P: Prove your Answer, P: Proofread.

Social Studies

This week, we will be working with Ipads on an in-class biography research project. They will have the choice to choose from Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Harriet Tubman, or Sojourner Truth and explain about their life and why we still remember them today.

The completed project is due Friday in class 3/27. If your student misses a day, they may need to work on their project at home to catch up.

*Test on the Westward Expansion is Monday 3/30.
