Returning Student Registration Starts Friday

Argyle ISD's Returning Student Registration for the 2022-2023 school year will be open from April 1-April 29.

Please see the following steps below to get your returning Eagle enrolled for 2022-2023:

1. Log into Family Access. Click here. (Username: first initial, last name)

2. Click the highlighted registration for each student.

3. Please make sure to open and complete all forms. Once you are completed, the tile will say 'Submitted.' Once it is approved, the tile will disappear from Family Access.

If your student is NOT returning for the 2022-2023 school year, please contact your campus registrar regarding the procedure for end-of-year withdrawal information.

Great Night! Argyle ISD Hosts First Cultural Night Event

It was a great night earlier this week celebrating the many cultures in Argyle ISD! This was the first annual Cultural Night and it was held in the Argyle Middle School cafeteria. Thank you to all those who attended and special thanks to the students, families and staff who helped make this a such a great experience for our community. Each of the five district campuses hosted a booth.

"Our first AISD Cultural Night was a huge success," said Argyle Intermediate School Principal Dr. Dawn Jordan, who helped organize the event. "Every school had great stations that were engaging and educational. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to bring this event to our community."

AHS One-Act Play Competing at Area Competition

We are wishing all the best to the Argyle High School Theatre Department's One-Act Play! They are competing this weekend in the UIL Area Competition in Graham. The winner advances to the UIL Regionals.

Go Eagles! AISD's Special Olympics Athletes Compete & Medal at Chad Powell Track Meet

Argyle ISD's Special Olympics team recently had an awesome time competing and earning medals at the Chad Powell Track Meet in Keller. The Eagles battled off the cold weather and had a blast participating and cheering on their classmates! Sixteen Eagles participated and many received medals in their events.

This week the AISD Special Olympics team is headed to Krum to compete on Saturday. Good luck, Eagles!

Argyle ISD Town Hall Update

Argyle ISD held a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, March 29 seeking feedback from the community regarding the proposed Cross Timbers Business Park in Canyon Falls.

The meeting drew more than 150 community members and over 40 speakers who addressed the Argyle ISD School Board and Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright in opposition to this planned development adjacent to the new Argyle High School. This industrial subdivision includes distribution warehouses on the 263-acre tract on the northwest corner of FM 1171 and Highway 377. The project application is currently in the review process with the Town of Flower Mound.

The School Board will consider a resolution of opposition to the Cross Timbers Business Park at a Special Board Meeting on Monday, April 4 at 6 p.m. The resolution and the Board’s decision will be shared with the Town of Flower Mound Town Council and Crow Holdings following the meeting.

During the Town Hall Meeting, parents, staff and community members raised multiple concerns about the potential impact of this development including safety for students and families, traffic, pollution and noise impact.

Chief Collins & Argyle ISD PD Sworn In By Superintendent

This week Argyle ISD held a swearing-in ceremony for the new Argyle ISD Police Chief Scott Collins. He has started his new role in the district after previously serving as the Aubrey ISD Police Chief. Family, friends, School Trustees and staff attended the ceremony.

Chief Collins also held a swearing-in for AISD Police Captain Bob Mastropiero and Officer Amy Briggs. The district will also be adding another officer with the opening of South Elementary School this fall.

Argyle ISD Bond Presentation APRIL 7

Argyle ISD will host a Community Bond Presentation on Thursday, April 7 at Argyle West Elementary. The presentation starts at 7 PM and is 30 minutes. It will be held in the school cafeteria. The presentation will also include time for Q&A.

The district will also provide an opportunity for individuals to get registered to vote at this event.

School Board Candidate Forum Coming April 6 at AHS

The Cross Timbers Gazette will host and moderate an Argyle ISD School Board Candidate Forum on Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at the Argyle High School auditorium. The campus is located at 6601 Canyon Falls.

Guests can enter through the auditorium entrance at the front of the campus. Below is a list of the candidates running for the two School Board seats (Place 6 and Place 7):

AHS International Club Hosting Holi Event - April 2

The Argyle High School International Club is hosting a Holi Festival of Colors on April 2 from 2-5 p.m. at the Argyle High School field house. The cost is $10 per person.

New HVAC Units Installed at South ES

There was some notable activity happening this week at the new South Elementary School in Canyon Falls. A helicopter was used for the installation process of the heavy HVAC units being installed on the campus rooftops. This drew several onlookers in the neighborhood as the construction process continues at South Elementary.

The Argyle High School Majestics Drill will present Vintage on Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The performances will be held in the Argyle High School auditorium. VIP tickets are $15 per person and general admission are $10. Follow the QR code for more information and to purchase tickets.

PLAYOFF NIGHT! Lady Eagles Battle Alvarado

The Argyle Lady Eagles soccer team faces Alvarado tonight in a Class 4A Region I Quarterfinals. Start time is 7:30 p.m. at Birdville ISD Fine Arts/Athletics Complex in North Richland Hills. The stadium is located at 9200 Mid Cities Blvd.

The Lady Eagles are coming off a 19-1 area-round victory on Tuesday against Kennedale. Emma Sheehan had a huge first half with a career-high five goals.

Argyle Tennis Has Successful Beach Trip!

The Argyle Eagle tennis team competed in one of the state's largest tournament last weekend - the Galveston Beachcomber Tennis Classic. The tournament included 37 teams, and seven that were state-ranked and included Class 6A and 5A teams. Argyle produced three FIRST PLACE finishes three SECOND PLACE and one THIRD PLACE!

Argyle Track Shines Bright at Texas Relays

The Argyle Eagles boys and girls track teams had great showings at the Texas Relays last weekend in Austin. Texas Relays is regarded as one of the nation's most prestigious track meets.

Three boys' relay teams made the finals and all placed in the top five, including the 4x400 releay team of Jaa'Qwan Felton, Parker Phillips, Lane Stewart, RJ Bunnell and Ward McCollum who broke a school record held since 2007. Argyle was one of only two schools to make the finals in all three and the only one to place in the top five. Also, Riley Page was a finalist in the 100 meters.

The Lady Eagles also shined at the Texas Relays as the 4x100 and 4x200 both finished fourth and set new school records!

Vote now for Lady Eagle softball player Maya Bland! She is a candidate for the DFW Softball Player of the Week on the Star-Telegram website. Maya hits three home runs in a game vs. Ursuline! You can vote multiple times.
