Delran Students Win Big at Coriell!
8 students win recognition, 3 proceed on to Tri-State Fair
The 35th Annual Coriell Institute Science Fair, held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Camden County College
Our region's top science fair allows our district's STEM inspired students to be judged by leading professionals in our area, then display those projects for the public. This is the Super Bowl of events for students, including an opportunity to move onto a tri-state fair, The Delaware Valley Science Fair, later this month.
1st Place Winner in Microbiology High School Category- Sydney Coldren (pictured right)
Sydney is going on to DVSF for the third time in her high school career. Her project "Probiotics or Nobiotics: The Truth About Probiotic Pills" demonstrates her career interest in microbiology. Good luck, Sydney!
2nd Place Winner in Botany Middle School Category- Kendal Coldren (pictured left)
Kendal follows in the footsteps of her science minded sister, Sydney, in her pursuit of scientific excellence. Her project "The Effect of Electricity on Plant Growth" helped Kendal raise the bar in her botanical interests from last year's project. Safe travels to DVSF, Kendal!
CCC Scholarship and 3rd Place Winner in Behavioral & Social Sciences High School Category- Louisa Williams
Not only did Louisa win a 3rd place award, allowing her to move on to the Delaware Valley Science Fair, but she also won a two year, full scholarship to Camden County College! Her project "Humor, Memory and Age" was inspired by her conversations with her dearest grandmother. Great job, Louisa! Good luck at DVSF.
