The role of the organization in Darfur. What are they doing?
- The International Rescue Committee aids 84,000 Darfuri refugees in three camps in eastern Chad and offers services to 33,000 Chadians living nearby. The IRC runs schools, health centers and water and sanitation programs in the camps.
How is that role designed to protect human rights? Think of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. What rights from that document are being procted by this groups work in Darfur?
Their refugee camps are mean't to protect people from further harm. The rights that they protect include Article !, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 etc.
What their authority is to address the mission?
They are a large group that started during WW2 after Einstein suggested to create a group to help Germans refugees during Hitlers reign. they continued to grow throughout history and are currently one many big groups.
Who supports their mission? How do they get money/resources to do their work?
They receive donations that are tax free.
