News from the Principal's Office
A&M Consolidated High School
Reflections from Elder's Desk
The night before school starts brings anticipation, anxiety, and energy for the new school year. Though I am beginning my twenty-sixth year at Consol, I still have the first day jitters. However, I eagerly anticipate another remarkable year at AMCHS. I enjoy visiting classrooms, making positive connections, and being a difference maker at AMCHS. As you prepare for a remarkable day tomorrow, be intentional in making connections with your most disconnected learners. Remember, to “connect before content.”
Also, please be mindful of the following expectations:
- All teachers will be on duty.
- Send students to the lecture hall if they have not registered.
- Send students to the attendance office for a lost schedule or an ID.
- Greet students before they enter your classroom.
- Engage in teambuilding activities
- Communicate your Care Plan/Discipline Management Plan and Classroom Expectations
We are responsible for setting the tone and creating an atmosphere to allow all students to feel welcome. Be driven by your purpose and be a beacon of light at AMCHS.
You have the power to make a difference.
