Principal's Message...
Peace Dale Elementary School has a NEW VISION!!!
A new year symbolizes new beginnings and Peace Dale Elementary School is proud to announce our new vision statement, which will become the anchor of our school improvement plan.
Graduates of Peace Dale Elementary School are inspired, curious and self-directed learners that are caring citizens, able to use a growth mindset to make positive changes in their lives and the lives of others.
January is the perfect month to begin strategic planning to achieve our vision and we will use both faculty meetings this month to begin to set direction. During our first faculty meeting, we will focus on understanding our current state. We will review our purpose (our why), our mission (our path), our core values (our compass) and our vision (our ideal state/our destination). We will go over our School Improvement Plan Draft, to gain a basic understanding of our goals in both achievement and growth for literacy, math and social emotional learning.
During our second faculty meeting, we will do a data dig and conduct a gap analysis to set goals to get to our desired state. Our school improvement team will continue this work and our school improvement plan will then be posted in our Google Classroom. We will continue to analyze both adult and student behavior targets to monitor our progress towards our goals and our SIT team will report out regularly. Our PLC work should align to our school improvement plan and our focus should be on driving continuous improvement towards our goals.
Our superintendent is excited to be joining our faculty meeting on 1/16 and looks forward to spending time learning about our school improvement efforts.
I hope everyone is enjoying a restful and wonderful holiday recess. It has been nice to spend more time with family, but I do miss all of you and our wonderful students!
Wishing you all a Happy New Year,
~Kim
