Monday Morning Memo - Week 3
9/16/18 Let's get it!!!
Dear Poupard Staff,
Thanks to you all we are off to a great start! There has been a general calm feeling around the building and its due to your hard work establishing routines and procedures with each of our students. As I'm sure you're aware, students will need to continually practice those routines for some time until it becomes second nature. I encourage you all to keep putting in the time in now with those routines and relationships to reap the benefits later on.
Next, I would like for all teachers to begin thinking about their professional goals for the year. Similar to last year, I will be meeting with each teacher during their planning time to establish a professional goal for the year. All teachers are required to set one instructional goal from (Domain 1 or 3) from the Danielson Rubric. All probationary teachers are required to set one additional goal from Domain 2 from the Danielson Rubric as well. Lastly, I'm going to have all tenured and probationary teachers set one goal that will focus on how they will sharpen the saw this year to sustain the grind of a school year. I will be giving staff members time to begin working on writing these goals at our upcoming staff meeting.
You may access the Danielson Framework Rubric by clicking here.
Sincerely,
Ali

Nuts and Bolts - Updated 9/16/18
- Please be sure to send any PTO Ambassador forms to the office and continue to push the opportunity for your families.
- Please share your weekly newsletters with me by "Ccing" me when they are emailed out to families. This allows for me to stay connected with all of the exciting things happening inside of your classrooms.
- Dragon Dollars will be passed out and used for students in (Y5-5) for our weekly raffles. The school store will be available for students in grades (4-5). Students in grades (Y5-3) can save up their Dragon Dollars if they would like to spend them once they reach 4th or 5th grade. We will discuss this more as a staff with the PBIS Team.
- Please be sure to review all of the emergency information for fire drills and tornado drills inside of your classrooms. We will be doing a sweep to make sure your emergency bags are stocked with everything that necessary and include updated rosters as they become available.
- Behavior Referrals must be completed using the Online Behavior Form. Staff must complete the behavior form anytime a student is sent down to the office for a major office referral. Homeroom Teachers and Special Area Teachers are responsible for contacting the family to notify them of any incidents that occurred inside of the classroom. Please call home over an email whenever possible. Personally, I'd recommend sharing anything over 3-4 sentences over a phone call as well.
- Please assist Kyle and James by having students stack chairs at the end of the day.
- Please target completing F&P Testing for new and struggling students that you believe may receive an I-RIP by October 6th.
