Parent Volunteer Opportunity

The Sacramento Valley Scholastic Chess League director Steven Oberlander is a teacher at Neal Dow Elementary School. The league is hoping to have Chess Clubs in all CUSD schools. In order to bring this opportunity to Hooker Oak, we need a volunteer Chess Coach to help facilitate our program. Mr. Oberlander will assist with all of the logistics and there will be start-up materials available.

Please contact the office or email Principal Emily Mullins if you are interested in volunteering to coach our Chess Club. The club could meet before or after school.

Sprouty Store Wishlist

The Sprouty Store was a huge success last year, and we need donations for the new school year! The Sprouty store is a monthly student store that is available for 1st-5th grade students. Throughout the school year students earn Sproutys, Hooker Oak's school money, and they can spend them at the store. The Sprouty Store is able to happen from parent donations. You can check out our Amazon wish list, which gets directly sent to Hooker Oak, or if you spot something you think students will enjoy you can drop it off at the office. We appreciate all donations to the Sprouty Store!
