Connect the Four: A Vocabulary Game for Any Classroom

What do these four pictures have in common? This blog post from Tisha Richmond originates from a game she played on her phone while on an airplane. It's a great example of adapting something for classroom use-- and her list of ways you could use "Connect the Four" is extensive. Having students determine the pictures to use is one great twist.

She is a great follow on twitter, her blog "Make Learning Magical," is filled with great ideas, and she even has a book by the same name.
Well, at least somebody from Purdue is going to the Final Four: the robotics team. You could even have students describe how they would design a robot to shoot baskets-- before you show them the video. Were there any steps they left out? There are more details in this article.

New Updates from Matt Miller

As always, Matt Miller is sharing new resources and ways to use technology effectively. This post includes his recent presentation, "Tech Like a Pirate" from California's CUE 19 Conference. It includes uses you might not have thought of for Google Maps/Street View, Slides, Drawings, and more.

Just for Fun

This website showing an exhibit in The Baux de Provence, France is mesmerizing. If you have any students who have read the fun book, Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library, its author, Chris Grabenstein, has said this is how he imagined some of the scenes in his story. This site would be ideal to put on display without comment, and have students try to figure out what it is, and how it was made.
